Our Story

Hair has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a little girl, I cut a patch out of my brother’s afro. My mother bought me a doll to practice on after that. She saw my interest early and later supported my decision to attend cosmetology school.

I’m Chandra Marie, a licensed cosmetologist, wig designer, and founder of The Wig Designer Co.

Through my work, I’ve met women who wanted a different look, women experiencing hair loss, and women who were tired of spending so much time getting their hair together. Their reasons were different, but each wanted to feel comfortable with what she saw in the mirror.

Those conversations stayed with me.

As a mother, business owner, and student, I understand having a full schedule and still wanting to look put together. I also know that buying a wig can come with questions. Will it fit? Will it look natural? How much work will it take before I can wear it?

I built The Wig Designer Co. with those questions in mind. Our focus is glueless wigs with flattering cuts, a secure fit, and clear information about what comes with each style. The Executive Collection brings that vision together through three styles: a pixie, a blunt bob, and long layers.

My faith influences the way I serve people and the decisions I make. I believe in being honest about what I offer, honoring my word, and respecting the investment a woman makes when she chooses The Wig Designer Co.
